The Strengths of Subcontractors

Small Biz Trends has a great post on the benefits of working with subcontractors.  As a company that, amongst other areas, specializes in staffing, AGi would especially agree with the first two points.  The third can be more challenging depending on the training involved, but is certainly workable.

  1. Cost-Effective Help

  2. Specialized Assistance

  3. Busy-Season Boost

And they talk about some pointers for getting started:

  1. Find the Right Fit

  2. Create an Agreement

  3. Consider a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA)

  4. Follow Hiring, Tax Reporting and Labor Requirements

Head over to Small Biz Trends for the full story.

Rep. Shaheen Launches Two Acts Supporting Veteran Entrepreneurs

Small Biz Trends wrote a short piece highlighting two new pieces of veteran specific legislation.  U.S. Sen. Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) recently introduced the Veteran Entrepreneurship Act and the Veterans Hiring Act, the former of which will lower the cost of Small Business Administration loan programs for military veterans trying to start their own businesses, while the latter will provide tax incentives for businesses hiring veterans.
