The SBA and the Government Shutdown

For the Small Business Administration, the government shutdown is not as complete as one might think. Nearly 40 percent of the agency’s employees remain on the job, according to a shutdown plan published on the agency’s Web site. But even so, the agency has stopped processing regular small-business loans, leaving would-be borrowers in limbo.
