Report from the Capital Access Innovation Summit
Ami Kassar at the New York Times "You're the Boss" column writes to us about his experiences at the Capital Access Innovation Summit, hosted by the Small Business Administration and the Department of the Treasury, and was intended to "strengthen capital formation for start-ups and small businesses."
While "In the morning, the plenary sessions featured ... carefully scripted messages with a group of about 150 of us who had gathered for the day," he said this about the afternoon break out sessions:
I realized that many of them suffer frustrations similar to my own... The discussions had a different vibe. Instead of contributing to an us-versus-them confrontation, we all rolled up our sleeves and tried to figure out the right things to do.
Head over and read the whole thing to get a better sense of the folks Kassar found most helpful. The account comes across as both genuine and helpful.
