COOP Facilities VTC Planning, Design, Install and Operation

Department of Veterans Affairs, Office of Emergency Management (OEM)

The Veterans Affairs Office of Emergency Management supports the department’s national Continuity of Operations (COOP) initiatives. In support of OEM, AGi performed the update and install of a state-of-the-art audio visual and conferencing facilities at multiple sites. The facilities are an essential component of the VA’s periodic inter-agency Emergency Preparedness meetings.

AGi was responsible for: planning, design, install and on-going support of the display subsystem, Audio Subsystem, VTC Subsystem and the Control subsystem. System engineering tasks included:

  • Preparation of system functional interconnection diagrams.
  • Facility and equipment location drawing.
  • Project Coordination, including meetings with the client’s technical representatives and project coordination.
  • System implementation monitoring.
  • Schedule project and team oversight
  • Equipment staging at contractor’s location
  • Field Labor, including:
    • Pulling and bundling cables
    • Terminating of all cable
    • Labeling, all cable testing
    • Develop user-friendly operators manual
  • On-going maintenance and on-call support

All work and on-going support has been completed within SLA, to specification and on budget.
